The Middle Office Analyst will act as a vital control function between the front office, risk, finance, and back office. The role focuses on trade validation, P&L generation, exposure reporting, and supporting the lifecycle of oil derivatives trades. The ideal candidate will have experience in commodities trading, with strong technical skills and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities

Validate and confirm oil derivatives trades (swaps, futures, options) booked by traders

Monitor daily P&L, exposures, and position reconciliation against trading systems

Investigate and resolve trade breaks, valuation discrepancies, or booking errors

Reconcile trades and positions with exchanges, clearing brokers, and internal records

Coordinate with traders, back office, and risk to ensure accurate trade lifecycle management

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for trading, risk, and finance teams

Monitor margin requirements, collateral usage, and mark-to-market valuations

Support onboarding and system setup of new derivative instruments or clearing relationships

Participate in system upgrades, UAT, and process improvement initiatives
