Director of Investments - Family Office
Our client is a sophisticated institutional family office based in Dubai, overseeing a multi-asset global investment portfolio. The office invests across public and private markets with a disciplined, long-term approach focused on capital preservation and sustainable growth. With an increasingly global outlook and a mandate to diversify beyond real estate, the office is seeking a senior investment professional to lead public markets and other non-real estate investment activities.

Role Overview:
We are hiring a Director of Investments to lead the family office’s strategy, allocation, and execution across non-real estate asset classes — with a core focus on public equities, fixed income, and liquid alternatives. The role will report to the principal, overseeing both external manager selection and direct investment opportunities where relevant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of investment strategy across public markets and liquid asset classes in line with the family’s risk-return objectives.

  • Conduct manager due diligence and selection across equities, fixed income, hedge funds, and alternative UCITS strategies.

  • Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, exposures, and attribution across asset classes; produce regular reporting and strategic reviews.

  • Source and assess direct co-investment opportunities and thematic public market investments.

  • Stay abreast of global market trends, macroeconomic developments, and relevant geopolitical risks to inform portfolio decisions.

  • Support asset allocation, rebalancing, and risk management processes in coordination with CIO and broader investment team.

  • Manage external relationships with fund managers, custodians, banks, and research providers.

  • Contribute to investment committee discussions and represent the office in external forums, conferences, and industry networks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA and/or CFA preferred.

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in asset management, family office, sovereign wealth fund, or institutional investment setting.

  • Deep understanding of global public markets, fund structures, and manager selection best practices.

  • Demonstrated experience constructing and managing institutional-grade portfolios across multiple liquid asset classes.

  • Strong analytical, research, and financial modeling capabilities.

  • Proven ability to think independently, operate with discretion, and communicate with senior stakeholders and principals.

  • Based in Dubai
