As the Vice President of Investments & M&A, you will play a critical role in executing the firm’s growth strategy by identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic investments and mergers & acquisitions within the oil trading and broader energy sector. You will lead cross-functional teams, work closely with senior management, and manage relationships with key stakeholders to drive investment and M&A activities that support the firm’s long-term objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investment Strategy: Lead the development and execution of the firm’s investment strategy, identifying opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goals and growth ambitions in the oil trading sector.
  • M&A Execution: Oversee the entire M&A process, from deal origination to negotiation, due diligence, financial modeling, and post-acquisition integration.
  • Market Analysis & Deal Sourcing: Continuously monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and potential acquisition targets to identify value-creating investment opportunities.
  • Financial & Business Evaluation: Assess the financial and operational performance of potential investment targets, conducting detailed financial analysis, business modeling, and valuation to ensure sound decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with legal, finance, operations, and risk teams to ensure smooth execution of deals and investments, as well as effective integration and post-transaction management.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investment bankers, financial institutions, legal advisors, and industry experts to support deal flow and business development.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of investment professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the Investments & M&A department.
