A rapidly growing global trading house is looking for a seasoned US Power Trader to add to their growing Trading platform.
Suitable candidates will have a strong track record in Power / Energy trading with a focus on Virtuals / Day-Ahead market. The firm is onboarded with multiple ISO’s so has no preference on regional coverage.
The firm operates with an incredibly entrepreneurial mindset, so candidates must be self-sufficient in their trading style, but willing to collaborate as part of the greater franchise. They also have market leading infrastructure from a technology and execution perspective.
This role is initially remote and offers market leading PnL % and pays out on the pre-cost revenue.
Role requirements:
- Analyse short-term data to look for profitable trading strategies through domestic US markets.
- Build & implement efficient and profitable trading strategies.
- Make decisions quickly and mitigate risk through accurate execution
- Apply market and internal Risk & Compliance structure
Suitable candidates will have:
- Proven experience in the power trading industry
- Demonstrable track record – ideally producing north of 2m PnL p/y
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong analytical capabilities
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced and changing environment
- Strong statistical and quantitative analysis abilities
