A leading oil trading firm is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Manager to oversee and optimize trade finance activities, ensuring efficient financing, risk management, and compliance across global trading operations. This role is critical in securing credit facilities, managing banking relationships, and ensuring smooth execution of structured trade finance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Finance & Risk Management
- Manage Letters of Credit (LCs), bank guarantees, SBLCs, and documentary collections to facilitate oil trades.
- Negotiate and structure trade finance solutions, including prepayment and receivables financing.
- Work closely with traders to assess credit risk and optimize trade financing structures.
- Ensure counterparty risk is mitigated by coordinating with credit and legal teams.
Banking & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and trade finance providers.
- Secure and optimize credit lines and working capital facilities for trading activities.
- Monitor market trends to identify new financing opportunities.
Operational Execution & Compliance
- Ensure accurate and timely issuance, negotiation, and settlement of LCs and other financial instruments.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to adhere to sanctions, AML regulations, and internal policies.
- Oversee trade finance reporting, cash flow forecasting, and exposure tracking.
- Continuously improve trade finance processes and implement automation and efficiency enhancements.
