We are seeking a skilled Oil Chartering Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for securing and managing chartered vessels for the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the oil shipping industry, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with shipowners, operators, and other stakeholders in the maritime and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Charter Negotiation:
- Negotiate and secure charter agreements for the transportation of crude oil, refined products, and other petroleum commodities on behalf of the company.
- Evaluate market conditions, assess vessel availability, and secure favorable freight rates to ensure cost-effective transport.

Vessel Selection:
- Assess and select suitable vessels based on cargo type, destination, and market conditions.
- Work closely with shipowners, operators, and brokers to identify the best available vessels for each shipment.

Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and finalize charter party agreements (time charters, voyage charters, or bareboat charters).
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and operational terms of each contract.
- Monitor contract performance and resolve any issues that arise during the chartering process.

Market Analysis:
- Keep track of market trends, shipping rates, and geopolitical developments that may affect oil transportation.
- Provide insights on market dynamics to senior management and adjust strategies accordingly.

Operational Coordination:
- Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of charters, including vessel scheduling, loading, unloading, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Ensure vessels are on time and that cargo delivery meets contractual obligations.

Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, operators, brokers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Act as a key point of contact for all matters related to oil chartering and shipping.

Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in chartering operations, including market fluctuations, vessel performance, and regulatory changes, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Manage issues related to port delays, technical problems with vessels, and force majeure events.

Reporting and Documentation:
- Ensure all charter-related documentation is complete and accurate, including bills of lading, cargo manifests, and contracts.
- Provide regular reports to management on the status of chartered vessels and market conditions.
