Senior C# Software Engineer

Our Client, a prominent multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm, deploys relative value strategies across fixed-income markets for institutional investors. The firm operates offices in various locations, including Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Copenhagen, and Singapore.


Presently, our client is actively seeking a proficient Senior Software Engineer (.Net) to become an integral part of its Research and Technology (R&T) group. This dynamic team is responsible for overseeing all the firm's applications and infrastructure, encompassing vital areas like analytics, portfolio management, and risk management.

Key responsibilities:
  • Crafting innovative solutions for new business lines using C#, WinForms, Excel, R, and SQL (Oracle / Postgres)
  • Providing comprehensive support for both in-house and third-party applications
  • Identifying and resolving issues in trading desk systems, spanning in-house analytics, Bloomberg, TradeWeb, and other proprietary or vendor systems

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in fields such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance
  • Extensive expertise with object-oriented development, boasting over 7 years of experience using C# and Microsoft .Net
  • Proficiency in databases, SQL, and ORM, with more than 7 years of hands-on experience
  • Comfort in handling development tasks throughout the application stack
  • Proven ability to autonomously manage complex projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy team environment with time-sensitive demands
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are preferred:
  • Familiarity with fixed-income trading and associated financial instruments, including bonds and interest-rate derivative products
  • Exposure to tools such as Excel, Excel VBA, and Bloomberg
  • Experience working with Python
