We are working with a market leading oil trading firm in Dubai seeking an oil risk analyst to join their team:
Responsibilities:
- Independently generate and deliver daily mark-to-market (MTM) reports in a timely manner.
- Analyze and monitor physical positions and hedging exposures.
- Create and verify forward pricing curves.
- Reconcile trade entries with broker statements to ensure accuracy.
- Manage and track physical business costs, comparing them against profit and loss (PnL) projections.
- Compose daily reports detailing significant changes in profit and loss.
- Provide assistance to front office personnel and operational teams.
- Gain extensive knowledge of the oil trading sector, including market dynamics, exposure management, and trading strategies.
- Coordinate with global Risk Analysts to maintain a uniform approach, especially within similar trading portfolios.
- Work with various departments to enhance control mechanisms, processes, and support business expansion.
- Assist in the evaluation and integration of new instruments and markets, while fostering growth in existing business areas through thorough due diligence.
- Support both internal and external audit processes.
- Undertake additional tasks as required.
