As an HSFO Trader, you will be responsible for managing and executing trades of High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HSFO) across global markets. You will leverage your market expertise and strong relationships with key stakeholders to optimize trading opportunities. This role requires a high level of strategic thinking, market analysis, and risk management to drive profitability while navigating the complexities of global supply and demand dynamics in the HSFO market.
Key Responsibilities:
- HSFO Trading: Manage and execute trades in the HSFO market, including both physical and paper transactions, across various regions.
- Market Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze global HSFO market fundamentals, including pricing trends, supply/demand imbalances, regulatory impacts (e.g., IMO2020), and geopolitical factors affecting the market.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to protect trading positions and ensure optimal profit margins.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with refiners, suppliers, ship owners, traders, and other key stakeholders in the HSFO market.
- Logistics & Operations Coordination: Collaborate with internal logistics teams to ensure timely execution and delivery of HSFO products, while optimizing transportation and storage costs.
- Deal Structuring & Execution: Negotiate and structure deals with counterparties, ensuring the successful execution of trades in line with market conditions and internal strategies.
- Reporting & Compliance: Ensure all trades and activities comply with relevant regulations and report trading performance to senior management.
