We are seeking an experienced Fuel Oil Trader to join our clients trading team with a focus on the Asia-Pacific market. The successful candidate will lead trading activities across residual fuel oil markets (HSFO, VLSFO, Marine Fuels), identifying arbitrage and blending opportunities, managing risk, and developing strategic relationships across the region.
This is a high-impact, P&L-driven role in a fast-paced environment, offering scope to shape a growing desk within a global platform.
Key Responsibilities

Lead physical and paper trading of fuel oil and related residual products across Asia-Pacific markets.

Actively trade and optimize blending, storage, and arbitrage strategies (e.g., Singapore, Zhoushan, Fujairah, Korea).

Build and maintain commercial relationships with refiners, bunker suppliers, shipowners, traders, blenders, and storage providers.

Execute trades across term and spot contracts, voyage charter deals, and back-to-back structures.

Monitor regional supply-demand fundamentals, shipping trends, and refining economics to identify trade opportunities.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, risk, shipping, credit, legal) for deal execution.

Manage P&L and ensure trading activities remain within risk and VAR limits.

Utilize derivatives (ICE, Platts window, swaps) for hedging and speculative positioning.
