Key Account Manager - Commercial Team

We are working with a global commodity trading house, seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join their dynamic commercial team. In this role, you'll be the strategic driver behind cultivating and strengthening their most valuable client relationships, essential to realizing the growth objectives. You'll manage long-term partnerships, ensuring client satisfaction while identifying new commercial opportunities. Your focus will be on understanding client needs deeply and delivering tailored solutions. From thorough preparation to diligent follow-ups, you will lead the entire client engagement process with precision.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients. Serve as their go-to contact for any inquiries or challenges, and use innovative approaches to meet their needs and advance business objectives.
  • Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up: Organize and prepare for client meetings meticulously, ensuring seamless follow-ups to maintain momentum.
  • Client Needs Analysis: Develop a deep understanding of clients' current challenges and business goals, providing them with solutions that address their key concerns.
  • Uncover Hidden Opportunities: Anticipate clients’ unspoken needs, identify new business opportunities within existing accounts, and propose additional products or services through upselling and cross-selling strategies.
  • Value Proposition Development: Craft and present compelling solutions that differentiate from competitors, always looking for ways to add value and leverage the broader service offerings.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on contracts, ensuring terms align with both client needs and company objectives.
  • Risk Management: Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with commodity trading, including market fluctuations and credit risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess performance, drive client satisfaction, and report outcomes internally and externally.
