As the Head of Trading, you will take on a senior leadership role overseeing the firm's trading operations. You will be responsible for managing and expanding thier trading activities in refined oil products, both physical and derivative markets, while also ensuring that the firm continues to excel in risk management, profitability, and market positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of traders across various asset classes (physical and derivatives) in refined oil products.
  • Develop and execute trading strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share in global energy markets.
  • Oversee day-to-day trading operations, ensuring optimal decision-making, risk management, and profitability.
  • Foster a strong trading culture, ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, counterparties, and financial institutions.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive forces to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Report to senior management on market performance, risk exposures, and trading outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop trading team members, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in oil trading, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of refined oil products trading, both physical and derivative markets.
  • Leadership: Proven people management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing trading teams.
  • Skills: Strong analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to managing trading operations.
  • Market Knowledge: Expertise in global oil markets, pricing mechanisms, and the ability to spot emerging opportunities.
