As a Fundamental Gas Trader, you will be responsible for trading natural gas along the curve, from day-ahead to longer-term contracts. You will utilize your deep understanding of market fundamentals to develop and execute trading strategies. The role includes an allocated Value at Risk (VaR) and a competitive payout percentage based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of natural gas markets, including supply and demand dynamics, weather patterns, storage levels, and macroeconomic factors.
- Trading Strategy: Develop and implement trading strategies based on fundamental analysis to trade natural gas along the curve, including day-ahead and longer-term contracts.
- Risk Management: Utilize allocated VaR to manage risk effectively, ensuring adherence to the firm's risk management policies and procedures.
- Trade Execution: Execute trades efficiently, leveraging various trading platforms and maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the performance of trading strategies, making adjustments as necessary to optimize returns.
