Key Responsibilities:

Establish Reporting and Accounting Systems:
- Build and implement robust financial reporting systems, focusing on transparency and accuracy.
- Regular reporting to the JV board, covering cash flows, investments, financial status, and any other key financial metrics.
- Oversee the establishment of proper accounting processes for the JV.

Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain a trusted relationship with the JV counterparty.
- Ensure transparency in financial matters, sharing reports, and maintaining open lines of communication.
- Be the key point of contact for all financial and reporting matters, working closely with the board and senior management.

M&A and Investment Opportunities:
- Actively engage in assessing investment opportunities and support the JV’s growth strategy through quantitative and analytical approaches.
- Contribute to the evaluation of potential acquisitions, particularly in the oil, refinery, and by-product sectors.

Leadership and Team Development:
- Initially operate as a one-person team, leading the setup and establishing critical systems from scratch.
- In the future, take responsibility for growing the finance team, potentially hiring an accountant, admin staff, and overseeing legal and compliance functions as required.
- Embrace technology and automation, looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.

Cross-Jurisdictional Consolidation:
- Support the consolidation of financial activities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring that processes comply with local regulations and are streamlined across the business.

Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide clear, concise, and professional communication to senior management, the JV board, and partners, especially regarding potential risks, challenges, and financial performance.
- Flag issues proactively, offering solutions and advice when necessary.

Audit and Compliance:
- Ensure proper auditing practices and financial controls are in place for the JV.
- Monitor compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 8+ years in financial control, accounting, or audit roles, preferably with experience in oil trading or M&A activities.
