Business Development Manager - Global Markets (Institutional)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join a leading global markets firm. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of interdealer brokers and sell-side global markets, with a focus on institutional sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage participation in key financial services events to enhance the firm's visibility and engagement within the industry.
- Client Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to acquire institutional clients, particularly hedge funds and banks, within the global markets sector.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Broker Networking: Actively network with brokers to attract and onboard top talent, enhancing the firm's capabilities and market presence.
- Market Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of sell-side global markets, including products such as: Equities, Fixed Income, Future & Options, Commodity Derivatives, Clearing.
- Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about the evolving regulatory environment, and ensure compliance in all business development activities.
- Training: Provide training and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in institutional sales within global markets, with a focus on interdealer brokers.
- Strong understanding of the global markets landscape including trading platforms, brokers, exchanges, and the buyside.
- Demonstrated ability in client acquisition and relationship management.
- Excellent networking skills with the ability to engage effectively with brokers and industry professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of sell-side global markets and associated products.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
