A new and rapidly growing Prop Trading firm is looking for a seasoned Paper Base Metals Trader for their London office. The group is well funded by their parent company (a physical commodities trading house) with excellent access to capital and appetite to scale.
This will be one of several hires made across a number of strategy focuses, with opportunity to build the Metals desk and complete autonomy on trading activity and growth.
The London office is a full start-up, so candidates must be prepared to take on a number of responsibilities outside of simply trading as they build the desk from scratch. With this, they are very open in terms of exact products, as long as it’s within the Base Metals suite.
Role Responsibilities:
- Trading and Portfolio Management: Execute and manage trades within Base Metals.
- Alpha Generation: Develop and implement trading strategies aimed at generating alpha and enhancing portfolio performance.
- Risk Management: Monitor and manage risk exposure to ensure compliance with the company’s risk management policies and procedures.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify trading opportunities and trends.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on trading performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other traders, analysts, and risk management teams to optimize trading strategies and outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
