Vice President - Investment Management
Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Venture Search is exclusively partnering with a leading government-owned investment company that is looking to hire a Vice President to oversee the end-to-end investment process across the full deal cycle. In addition to managing transactions from origination to execution, the role will involve maintaining strong relationships with the wider group and its subsidiaries, monitoring financial and operational performance, and driving the acquisition and disposal of joint ventures and subsidiary businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Sourcing & Evaluation

  • Lead end-to-end investment proposals for real estate and operating businesses, from origination to execution.
  • Identify, research, and assess acquisition opportunities through internal teams, external advisors, and personal networks.
  • Analyze financial performance, operations, and contractual commitments to filter high-potential opportunities.
  • Conduct market research across the UAE, wider GCC, and international markets, as applicable.

Due Diligence & Transaction Structuring

  • Perform full-spectrum due diligence with legal, commercial, and external advisors.
  • Recommend key transaction terms and propose optimal deal structures.
  • Coordinate with brokers, owners, valuers, structural engineers, and lawyers throughout the DD process.
  • Engage with banks to secure funding and negotiate lending terms.

Financial Modeling & Analysis

  • Build and maintain robust financial and valuation models.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and assessment of financial performance.
  • Develop financial impact assessments and investment presentations for executive management.
  • Track key metrics to evaluate the health and performance of current assets.

Acquisition Execution & Documentation

  • Play a lead role in structuring and negotiating definitive agreements.
  • Manage transaction documentation including NDAs, MoUs, LoIs, and SPAs.
  • Ensure smooth transition of acquired assets to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain thorough records and documentation for all acquisitions.

Portfolio Monitoring & Strategic Planning

  • Establish a financial reporting framework, dashboards, and tools for portfolio monitoring.
  • Provide strategic input into restructuring, asset recycling, and M&A opportunities.
  • Recommend financial and operational improvements for JV/Sub performance.
  • Define KPIs and align operating and strategic plans with senior management.

JV/Subsidiary Development & Reporting

  • Assist in creating five-year business plans, risk mitigation strategies, and performance frameworks.
  • Participate in setting annual budgets and tracking performance against targets.
  • Conduct deep dives into operational/financial data and present board-level recommendations.
  • Generate periodic performance reports for senior leadership review.
 

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in hospitality, investment banking, or related fields.
  • 4+ years in a managerial role overseeing investment or strategic planning functions.
  • Experience in buy-side roles, real estate investment, or management consulting.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills; expert in Excel.
  • Strong experience managing transaction documentation (NDAs, MoUs, SPAs, etc.).
  • Proven ability to develop board-level investment materials and memoranda.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Accounting. MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
