The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the trading of grains and animal feed products, excellent market knowledge, and a proven track record of success in executing profitable transactions in these commodities. Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics for grains and feed products, including but not limited to wheat, corn, soybeans, barley, and animal feed.
- Trading Execution: Execute trading strategies and transactions, ensuring optimal purchasing and sales prices for grains and feed products in line with company goals.
- Supplier & Buyer Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, buyers, brokers, and other key market participants globally.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate market volatility, currency fluctuations, and other external factors impacting commodity prices.
- Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with logistics teams to ensure efficient delivery and transport of traded goods, maintaining timely and cost-effective operations.
- Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with suppliers and customers, ensuring profitability and favorable terms for the company.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on global geopolitical events, weather conditions, and other factors affecting global grain and feed markets.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and oversee documentation for trades, contracts, and shipments, including customs and import/export requirements.
- Profit & Loss Management: Monitor trading performance and manage the P&L for grains and feed products, aiming for optimal profitability while managing risk.
