Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carbon Trader to join our proprietary trading desk. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in our mission to navigate and capitalize on opportunities within the carbon credit market. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carbon Credit Trading:
  • Execute trades in the carbon credit market, including spot and derivative transactions.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, policy changes, and regulatory developments affecting carbon markets globally.
  1. Market Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trading opportunities and assess risk factors.
  • Collaborate with research teams to stay informed about emerging trends in sustainable finance.
  1. Risk Management:
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to navigate market volatility.
  • Monitor and manage risk exposure associated with carbon credit trading.
  1. Strategy Development:
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of trading strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Explore new markets and trading instruments within the broader carbon credit landscape.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry participants, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the company in industry forums and contribute to thought leadership in sustainable finance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in carbon credit trading within a proprietary trading environment, minimum 2 year track record.
  • Strong understanding of global carbon markets, including compliance and voluntary markets.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and respond to market data and trends.
  • Excellent risk management skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic trading environment.
