Key Responsibilities:
- Carbon Credit Trading:
- Execute trades in the carbon credit market, including spot and derivative transactions.
- Stay abreast of market trends, policy changes, and regulatory developments affecting carbon markets globally.
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trading opportunities and assess risk factors.
- Collaborate with research teams to stay informed about emerging trends in sustainable finance.
- Risk Management:
- Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to navigate market volatility.
- Monitor and manage risk exposure associated with carbon credit trading.
- Strategy Development:
- Contribute to the development and refinement of trading strategies to optimize profitability.
- Explore new markets and trading instruments within the broader carbon credit landscape.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with industry participants, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the company in industry forums and contribute to thought leadership in sustainable finance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in carbon credit trading within a proprietary trading environment, minimum 2 year track record.
- Strong understanding of global carbon markets, including compliance and voluntary markets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and respond to market data and trends.
- Excellent risk management skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic trading environment.
